This little gem from my "Shape of Life" Series of original wax and pigment monotypes is an ode to a 1970s sunburst glazed front door we had as a family back in the day.
This joyful piece is made entirely from pure beeswax, hand-mixed with a golden yellow fine pure pigment, and created in a painterly fashion on a heated matrix plate. This original hand-pulled print on fine Kozo paper is offered mounted, framed and glazed, in a soft white wooden professional frame.
"Shape of Life" is a series of wax and pigment hand-pulled monotypes created on fine Kozo paper. This series of original prints speaks of ascension, wisdom, self-love, and acceptance, as indicated through the colour palette of golden yellows and soft pinks.
The Diamond / Square shapes repeated through this series symbolize strength, love, and health, / orientation, and direction, respectively.
Each work is a one-off (one individual print produced with no identical repeat.) The only deviation from this is in the production of a single individual ghost print which will be clearly titled as such and is considered an original one-off in its own right.
