Escape the Toxic
Escape the toxic, is both a metaphorical and deeply personal work concerning the planet and my person!
Inspired by seasonal acid green algae ontop a lake a friend was swimming in, it came to me that all my life I've been attempting to swim away from the toxic!
The toxic demands placed on women and girls regarding appearance and behaviours, toxic masculinity in all its forms, toxic governance and corruption, toxic foodstuff and medication, my own body filled by autoimmune disease a self produced toxic swarm and always I/we aim to plough on.
Against the tide, away from the entanglement of obstacles, avoiding newly sprouting threats and concerns....some are unavoidable, some pounce unseen, some man-made but the trick it seems is to keep swimming!
